Harrow’s Debenhams department store has NOT been named as one of the 22 stores across the UK that are closing next year, it has been revealed.
It comes after weeks of speculation arose due to Debenhams entering administration earlier in April.
It was revealed and feared at the time, that 50 of the 166 stores in Britain were earmarked for closure permanently, and it has now named the first 22 of those. Stores that will be closing include Stains, Slough, Guildford and Wimbledon amongst others.
It means that at least for now, the Harrow branch is safe and will continue in business. There have been many people concerned about the future of it so we are very pleased to be able to bring you this good news.
Debenhams is the UK’s biggest, and oldest department store chain, and the priority now is to save as many stores as possible.
We will update you if we have any further information about Debenhams in Harrow.
