The annual St. George’s Day celebrations took place in Pinner today. The event takes place every year on Pinner Village High Street, and this years was one of the biggest events to date!.The street was closed off to traffic for the day as it transformed into a family friendly venue for 24 hours.

Hundreds, if not thousands of people lined the streets as local Scouts groups led by the Mayor of Harrow, paraded on the streets and people were singing and dancing. There was some fantastic live music and later on in the afternoon The annual Pinner Wheelbarrow Race took place.

It’s famously known as the ‘Ye Olde Wheelbarrow Race’, an event in which tandems push their partners around Pinner in a wheelbarrow! As they travel along they have a drink and race against the other opponents!!
This event was a fun day out and everyone had a great time celebrating St George’s Day.
