There is a fire at a block of flats on Hatton Road in Wembley.

London Fire Brigade confirm that “Eight fire engines and around 60 firefighters were called to a fire in a block of flats on Hatton Road in Wembley.The fire affected a balcony on the thirteenth floor in the 13 storey block of flats.”

Station Manager Brendan O’Brien is at the scene, he said: “The fire was contained to the balcony.

“There are no reports of any injuries at this stage. There are local road closures in place. They will be reopening soon but motorists are advised to avoid the area.”

The Brigade was called at 0703. Control Officers have taken 23 ‘999’ emergency calls to the fire. Crews from Wembley, Park Royal, Northolt, Acton, Ealing, Willesden and North Kensington Fire Stations are at the scene.

The cause of the fire is not known at this stage.
