82 YEAR OLD WOMAN ROBBED ON HARROW BUS

There has been a warning posted out on Twitter today by Harrow Police. There are a group of women targeting the elderly and stealing their possessions, one lady had her purse stolen on the 183 bus. The suspects are believed to have boarded the bus on Bridge Street, Pinner.

The tweets read –

“Harrow Safer Transport Team update. Please be vigilant on the buses. A group of women are stealing from our elderly population. Please keep a close eye on anyone appearing to be helpful targeting the elderly. They will work together & rummage through their pockets/ bags.@MPSRTPC“

”Please dial 999 if you see anyone targeting the elderly and rummaging through their pockets. The police will immediately attend. This is a despicable act & will not be tolerated. @MPSRTPC“

“Harrow Safer Transport Team update… 22/5/19 @ 10.30am on the 183 bus. A 55 & 25/30 yr old women stole an 82yr old woman’s purse. These 2 women pretended to help the victim. She noticed her bag was opened & £20 was missing. We are checking CCTV to ID the suspects.”
