PINNER BANK ROBBED BY MEN ‘ARMED WITH HAMMERS AND SWORDS’

Santander Bank on Bridge Street in Pinner was robbed by three suspects armed with hammers and swords.

The suspects entered the bank whilst cash was being delivered and attacked a victims multiple times with a hammer. No arrests have been made as of yet.

A police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 00:02hrs on Thursday, 20 June to reports of a robbery at a bank in Bridge Street, Pinner.

The two victims were inside a bank delivering cash when three suspects armed with hammers and a sword smashed their way into the premises. The suspects approached the victims and demanded they hand over the cash.

One of the victims was hit multiple times with the hammers. The suspects stole cash and made-off on foot. Officers, including the Met’s Dog Support Unit, searched the area but no suspects were located.One of the victims was treated at the scene for minor injuries.No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.
