The local community turned out in force for the Fun Dog Show held in Harrow Weald Recreation Ground.  More than 70 dogs of all types took part and over £400 was raised for the benefit of the park.

Mr Ron Barnbrook, the oldest Sgt Major in the country still serving in uniform, judged the many categories, along with PC Simon Underwood of Marlborough and Wealdstone SNT, who was well placed to judge our canine friends, having served with the Dog Support Unit.

Categories included puppy and veteran, waggiest tail, best non-pedigree and pedigree dog.  The specially featured dog and dad race caused a great deal of laughter, as each “dad” raced along with their canine buddy, while balancing a sausage on a spoon.

The entire day was captured beautifully by Isabelle Plasschaert, of Bebelle Photography, www.bebelle.co.uk

The raffle was kindly drawn for us by Chris Barnbrook and prizes included a steam cleaner donated by local business, Sorrel & Son, as well as wine and other goodies provided by the Friends group.
