Police who are currently investigating the murder of man in Wembley have released the name of the victim.
He has been identified as Kwasi Mensah-Ababio, 26, who was from Neasden police have said.
Police were called at 7:05pm on Sunday, 7 July by London Ambulance Service to Monks Park, Wembley. A man was reported to have been found unresponsive in nearby parkland.
Officers and LAS attended and found Kwasi with head injuries; he was pronounced dead at the scene. A post mortem at Northwick Park revealed the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head.
Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are investigating and have made two arrests, both men aged in their twenties and are currently being detained.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, said: “We are still appealing for information about this crime. A young man has been killed and his family left devastated and we need people to come forward and tell us what they know. This was a horrific crime.
“We can only stop these offences with the support of a determined community. Please contact police, or if you prefer to remain anonymous contact the independent charity, Crimestoppers, where you will not even be asked for your name. Your information, no matter how small, could be vital in making our streets safer for our young people.”
