A Money Exchange on Masons Avenue was robbed today with a ‘significant amount of cash’ being stolen.
A member of staff was physically attacked by a robber who punched them in the face in order to obtain the cash. Police have appealed for witnesses who may have seen a dark saloon vehicle leaving the location in the direction of Byron Road.
A police spokesperson said: “Police were called to Masons Avenue, Harrow, shortly after 15.00hrs to reports of a robbery.
“Officers attended. It was reported two bags containing a significant amount of cash had been stolen from a money exchange. It was reported the money had been snatched from a member of staff after he was punched in the face.”
“A crime scene was put in place at the location. Detectives from the Met’s Flying Squad are investigating. At this early stage, there has been no arrest.”
