Harrow Council planning committee have approved plans for 29 flats to be built next to Tesco Express just off Belmont Circle.
The new flats, that have been unanimously approved, will be constructed on Kenton Lane, the exact start date TBC.
It has been confirmed that the scheme will be split into three parts, with commercial space on the ground floor.
Cllr Stephen Greek, Conservative Planning Spokesman said: “I was pleasantly surprised to see a development with a good level of car parking and appropriate housing density, which these days is quite rare in Harrow’s planning committee. The developer and the council must now make sure that they stick to these commitments, for the benefit of current and future residents.”
However, it has been reported that there will be just three affordable homes as part of the new development which is lower number than usual planning policies allow. This was green lighted due to an independently verified viability assessment.
