Woman sexually assaulted in Kingsbury

Police have revealed that a woman aged in her thirties was sexually assaulted in Kingsbury in the early hours of this morning (October 3).

People have confirmed that there are police cordons in place in Kingsbury while forensics search the area.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “A woman in her thirties is being supported by specialist officers following a reported sexual assault in Church Lane junction with Kingsbury Road at 0409hrs on Thursday, 3 October.”

“No arrests have been made. Enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing.”

Since the revelation earlier today, people have taken to social media to express their concerns. One person said “I noticed savers and Greggs all cornered off because of something that was picked up on cctv”

Another person commented: “Burnt oak the pavements are taped off but roads are ok but heavier traffic. A policeman said it was not a killing.”
