Car vandalised at Sainsbury’s car park in Pinner

A car has been vandalised at Sainsbury’s car park in Pinner police have revealed.

The incident happened yesterday as the car was reportedly damaged by youth(s).  This comes just after plans were announced by euro car parks that the tariff will be going up to £5.25 and will become effective as of the 16 March. There are ongoing complaints about lighting and anti-social behaviour that happens at night along with ‘non existent CCTV’ that attribute to the issues the car park is facing.

Pinner residents have complained about deteriorating facilities at the car park and one person commented on Twitter saying: “Sainsbury’s car park price increase again with deteriorating facilities. No one is accountable or contactable”

The tweet continued: “There was a huge price rise in the summer (in % terms), now another one 7 months later. No explanation for either, no improvement in facilities . Dark, dangerous, dirty conditions. At night kids hanging around jumping on cars”.

Pinner SNT tweeted: “Yesterday a car in @sainsburys car park, #Pinner was vandalised by an, as yet, unidentified youth(s).

“Enquiries into this matter are ongoing, but today’s visits to the location did not find any anti-social or criminal activity taking place.

They continued: “I have been told that some form of improvement work is scheduled to take place at the car park. Tomorrow I will be emailing @ArcusHoldings’ Regional Building Environment Manager about the concerns expressed by users of @sainsburys, #Pinner car park.”
