St Luke’s sell-out Quiz Night is back on Saturday 28 March at St Gregory’s School in Kenton with the charity aiming to raise £3,000 to fund a nurse’s salary for one month.
St Luke’s Hospice (Harrow & Brent) is a charity which aims to provide the best quality end-of-life care to people in Harrow and Brent in a place of their choice – at home supported by Community Care Teams, in the In-patient unit or at the Woodgrange Day Services centre. Only 40% of its funding is from the NHS.
The quiz is going to be hosted by quizmaster Paul Lazenby, the St Luke’s quiz can always be relied upon to get your brain cells working whilst having lots of fun. Tickets are £17 and include a pizza supper with garlic bread, salad, dessert and refreshments. There will be a raffle with great prizes and a bar selling a selection of drinks, including alcoholic, soft and hot drinks.
Paul began supporting St Luke’s after his mum was diagnosed with stomach cancer and had to be admitted to the St Luke’s Hospice In Patient Unit: “The care was immediately so personal and caring and although she was unable to communicate she would have been grateful for the respect and care that she received until the day that she passed away.”
Get a team together to help to fund a nurse for a month to provide specialist care for people like Paul’s mum in St Luke’s 24 hour In-Patient Unit.
