Two women have been found dead at Fryent Country Park in Wembley today (June 7).
Police have confirmed that the women were discovered at Fryent Country Park which is situated between Kingsbury and Wembley. The discovery of the bodies was made this afternoon after police were called at 1:08pm.
Brent MPS tweeted: “Police were called to #Fryent Country Park, Slough Lane in #Wembley at 13:08hrs on Sunday, 7 June to a report of two women found unresponsive.
“Officers attended and two women were found, they were pronounced dead at the scene. Next of kin have been informed and post-mortem examinations will take place in due course. Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident continue.
“Homicide detectives have been informed.
“No arrests.“
A London Ambulance Service Spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.25pm today (7 June) to reports of an incident at Fryent Country Park in Kingsbury.
“We sent an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic practitioner and an incident response officer, with our first medic arriving in less than six minutes.
Sadly, two people were found dead at the scene.”
People have been posting tributes on social media. One person said: “I drove past this with my son at about 2:30. Beside the fact that the police had put their tape around the entrance – it was clear something terrible had happened by the look of shock on the young copper’s face who was blocking the entrance. Awful news.”
Cllr Ketan Sheth said: “Alarmed to hear that two young women have been found dead in Fryent Country Park near Wembley. My thoughts are with the family.”
Two forensic tents have been set up and there are multiple investigators on the scene looking for further information relating to this.
