Emergency services on site in Harrow after ‘small gas explosion’

Emergency services have rushed to Pinner Road in Harrow this afternoon after a small gas explosion happened in a storm drain at the bus garage.

London Fire Brigade were called at 11:39am after reports of an explosion. There are at least two garages that have been taped off by police whilst firefighters and emergency services that are still on site investigate the cause of an incident on Pinner Road.

Reports stated that people could smell gas before the explosion. A member of Harrow Online Group said: “There was a louder bang, I saw smoke from the hangar”.

There are at least 3 fire engines and one command unit on site and local offices and garages within the proximity of 25 metres have been evacuated.
