Pinner Safer Neighbourhood Police have issued a warning to residents after a man claiming to be a labourer has approached homes of elderly residents offering his services.
The “labourer” has been persistently knocking on doors offering to work on house tasks. Pinner SNT have issued the warning that was re-tweeted by the Pinner Association.
In a message sent out on the OWL website (Online Watch Link), Pinner SNT said: “We have received a couple of reports of a labourer in the area who is persistently knocking on the doors of elderly residents and asking them if they need any work completed, such as having their driveway pressure washed.
“Please do not accept any offers of work from cold-callers or pay for work that has been undertaken without prior consent and having first agreed on a price.
