An entire year group at a high school in Harrow have been sent home to self-isolate after a child tested positive for COVID-19.
Pupils at Park High School, in Stanmore, were told yesterday afternoon (September 17) that they should self isolate following the positive test result in line with guidance from Public Health England.
In an email to parents, the announcement came after a year 12 pupil received a positive Covid test.
The email says: “We have been informed late this afternoon by Public Health England that a member of the community who has not been in school since September 8th has tested positive for COVID-19.
“Following the national guidance all students in year 12 should remain at home and self-isolate”.
The email continues: “Live remote to teaching will start on Monday 21st and there will be work on SharePoint for them to access from tomorrow, Friday 18th.
“We are asking you to do this to reduce further spread of COVID-19 to others in the community. If your child is well at the end of this period of self isolation, then they can return to usual activities.”
