New COVID-19 testing site opens in Wembley

A new COVID-19 testing site has opened in Wembley.

Brent Council posted on Facebook: “Anyone with symptoms, however mild, can get a free test. It’s quick and vital to stop the spread of coronavirus ?

“Appointments must be booked online at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.

“When travelling to the testing site for your appointment, if possible please: Walk or Cycle. Or if you must drive, use one of the local car parks at:

? Wembley Central
? St John’s Rd
? Lonsdale Ave

“This will help to reduce congestion at the testing site.”

The main symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are:

A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal
