A male cyclist has been taken to hospital tonight after he was involved in a collision with a car on College Road, Harrow.
College Road was temporarily cordoned off by police as the male was treated by paramedics from London Ambulance Service. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop at the scene police have confirmed.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 8:49pm yesterday (28 September) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a cyclist on College Road, Harrow.
“We sent a number of crews to the scene including an incident response officer, paramedic team manager, a medic in a car and an ambulance crew.
“We treated a man at the scene for leg, head and shoulder injuries and took him to a major trauma centre.”
A Met Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at 20:49hrs on Monday, 28 September to reports of a collision involving a car and bicycle on College Road in Harrow.
“Officers attended. The male cyclist was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“The driver failed to stop at the scene.
“Enquiries continue.”
