Controlled Parking Zones enforcement to recommence in Harrow from 1 October

Harrow Council have announced that Enforcement of Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) will be re-introduced from 1 October 2020.

Enforcement will apply to vehicles parked without displaying a valid permit in Resident Permit Bays or areas where parking is allowed on those CPZs where bays are not marked.

Harrow Council has been enforcing all other parking restrictions in CPZ areas such as yellow lines and dropped kerbs, throughout the temporary freeze on CPZ enforcement.

The council is also in the process of issuing replacement permits to all residents that held a valid permit between 1 April 2020 and 30 September 2020 and has changed the colour of the permits from yellow to orange so it is clear to see it is an extended permit.

Cllr Varsha Parmar, Environment Portfolio Holder, said:We eased restrictions to help people during lockdown, but from October 1 enforcement will recommence to help people park. This is to ensure residents can park in spaces they are paying for and to keep our roads safe.

“We have unveiled a policy of issuing replacement permits to those to all residents that held a valid permit between 1 April 2020 and 30 September 2020.”
