Woman rushed to major trauma centre after falling ill in Wealdstone High Street

A woman was taken to a major trauma centre after falling ill in Wealdstone High Street at noon yesterday (13 October).

An air ambulance was dispatched and landed in Byron Park, Peel Road to assist. People also reported seeing London Ambulance Service in Harrow Leisure Centre car park on Christchurch Avenue.

A member of Harrow Online Group said: “what’s happening in Byron Park? Just seen a helicopter land and ambulances going past.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 12.03pm yesterday (13 October) to reports of a person unwell in High Street, Wealdstone.

“We sent two ambulance crews and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance. The first of our medics were at the scene in under five minutes.

“A woman was treated at the scene and taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.”
