A man from Harrow has appeared at the Old Bailey in relation to an alleged attack at a solicitors office in the borough last month.
Metropolitan Police said that Cavan Medlock, 28, has been charged with five offences following an alleged incident at Duncan Lewis Solicitors in Harrow.
Medlock allegedly visited the offices of Duncan Lewis armed with a knife and threatened to kill a member of staff early last month.
It has been reported in The Guardian that the prosecution alleges Medlock planned to take a solicitor hostage and display flags of Nazi Germany and the US Confederacy in the firm’s office windows.
Medlock was arrested after officers attended an address in Harrow at approximately 5.20pm on 7 September.
He is charged with preparation of terrorist acts under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
Five further charges include threatening with a bladed article in a public place, battery, two counts of causing racially aggravated alarm, harassment or distress, and making a threat to kill.
