Car seized in Harrow Weald as police send dog unit to search area

Police have seized a car in Harrow Weald after it initially failed to stop opposite Iceland on Weighton Road. 

The incident happened yesterday afternoon at around 3:45pm as police stopped the vehicle and sent a dog unit to patrol the area to search for discarded property.

A member of Harrow Online contacted us saying: “I have just seen CID police in Harrow Weald, they have sniffer dogs with them and they are searching the area for something or someone. They have been down Alma Row and Weighton Road so far.”

Police also searched the area at the back of the parade of shops along High Road, Harrow Weald.

A Met Police spokesperson told Harrow Online: “On Tuesday 10th November around 15.44hrs officers attempted to stop a vehicle. It initially failed to stop but was stopped a short time later on Weighton Road, Harrow.

“A dog unit attended in order to search for any discarded property and the vehicle was seized for no insurance.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote 4738/10NOV

“Alternatively, contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
