This Christmas, Young Harrow Foundation successfully gave away £3,000 a week to two Charities that help young people in Harrow. The event took place over two weeks from the 16th of November, ending on the 27th of November2020.
A total of 11 Charities in Harrow took part in the event – 8th& 19th Harrow Scouts Group, Arts for Life Project, Centre for ADHD & Autism Support, Every Step Matters, Harrow Carer, HASVO, Khulisa, Kids Can Achieve, My Yard, Synergy Theatre Project, The Wish Centre.
Two Charities, My Yard and Kids Can Achieve won £3,000 each. On top of that, the Charity that garnered the most points, My Yard, was given an additional £1,000. We are pleased to say that the event had generated 25,313 engagements and 1,872 new followers across all the accounts.
The Young Harrow Foundation Christmas Charity Giveaway was held on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Linked-in. The event gave an opportunity for these Charities to communicate to the public on what they do and how they are helping children who are most in need in Harrow, especially so now in this pandemic.
Young Harrow Foundation would like to thank everyone who voted for their favourite Charities as those votes had helped us to select the Charities that deserves the most help in our community.
