Unfinished Business - a new radio show launches in Harrow Harrow Online
The pair first met in 1984. The rest is history!

There they forged a loving friendship and have worked together as allies across all aspects of equality, diversity and inclusion, as part of who they are and what they believe in.

In 2019 they teamed up with a new emerging radio station, Fantastic Radio UK, to develop an idea about hosting a  community driven radio show very much routed within Harrow, but broadcast across the UK.

This idea was worked up and formally launched in October 2020 during the middle of the pandemic.

They named this show “Unfinished Business” because they recognised that there was much work to do, and created a set of values that represented their shared belief that Harrow is a positiveculturally rich place to live, work and play in.

This past year more than ever Harrow, its people, its businesses, its soul, needs to be championed and celebrated.

Both Rob and Paul believe that each and every person in the Borough has a unique, individual insight into what movesand motivates our community and these (all too often unheard) voices must be amplified and listened to.

Integral to this they are clear that there is no place for Hate, Bigotry or Division within our communities and that our cultural diversity must be a weapon for Healing, Empathy & Understanding.

The show itself broadcasts every Monday from 7pm on Fantastic Radio UK and has been running over the past 3 months. Each show is split in too a number of component parts –

1. Rations of Passion – where Paul and Rob choose cultural  things that we have watched, listened to or participated over the past week that we believe is worth sharing and why.

2. Guest conversations – Rob & Paul , interview people and businesses (both in Harrow) and beyond who are making a difference to their communities, sharing insight & thoughts on how we can support each other.

Previous participants have included restaurant owners, founders of Diversity and Inclusion companies and individuals working in the education sector.

3.
Music Themes  – Rob & Paul pick a decade or musical genre and play 3 records each from that theme which they believe separately represent its best. Themes already covered include 1960’s Rock,Jazz, Hip-Hop, Punk and much, much more!
