Met Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Ealing.
A woman police believe to be aged in her 40s was found at a property yesterday morning.
Met Police said: “Police were called at approximately 15:45hrs on Monday, 22 February to reports of an unresponsive woman at a residential property on Castlebar Road in Ealing.
“A woman, believed aged in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene but has not yet been formally identified.
“A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.
“A man, aged in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a west London police station.
“Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime South are leading the investigation.
“Enquiries into the circumstances remain ongoing and a crime scene remains in place.
