All staff and residents at Barchester’s Wilsmere House care home, in Harrow Weald are delighted to have received both doses of their Covid-19 vaccinations at GP surgery, after what has been a very challenging year for everyone.
The news comes as Health Secretary Matt Hancock praised Harrow for having ‘led the way’ in the vaccination roll-out.
General Manager of Wilsmere House, Lili Cocue said: “We’ve all been through such a difficult time and this feels like such a big step on the way to getting back to some normality.
“I am so proud of the team and how they have worked together and continue to do so and we are all so grateful to be prioritised to receive the vaccine first.
“Now that everyone in the home has had both doses, we can start to work towards getting life in the home back to a new normal, but we know there is a lot of work to do in order to get there.”
Staff members at Wilsmere House Care Home said: “There is such a sense of relief. We are all so pleased to have had both doses of the vaccine. It will help to keep our residents safe, we know there is still a long road ahead of us but this is a big step towards getting back to some sort of normal.”
