Police appeal after ‘brutal and vicious’ attack in Stratford

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a stabbing in Stratford that has left a man in a critical condition.

The stabbing has been described as ‘brutal and vicious’ by Detective Constable Zoe Banks who is investigating for Met Police.

Met Police said: “Police were called at 23:39hrs on Saturday, 6 March to reports of a stabbing on Maud Road, at the junction with Stratford Road, E13.

“Officers attended, along with the London Ambulance Service, and found a man in his 20s suffering from multiple stab injuries. He was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

“Enquiries are ongoing and there have been no arrests.”

Detective Constable Zoe Banks, investigating, said: “This was a brutal and vicious attack which has left the victim with a long road to recovery. We are committed to finding those responsible and holding them accountable for their actions that night.

“We are keen to hear specifically from anyone who may recall seeing a dark-blue saloon car around the area at the time. We believe members of the public may be able to assist with dash cam footage or home security cameras.
