One member of Harrow Online told us: “I was parked up on my motorbike on Marlborough Hill in Harrow. I hear a man shouting in an eastern european language, coming from the Civic Centre Car Park.
“There were two men, both white of solid builds and middle aged. The man in front was topless and had a yellow tool in his right hand. It looked like a hammer at first but as he passed it was clear it was an axe.
“The man behind him was shouting his name, I think trying to get him to not do whatever he was about to do, possibly telling him to calm down.
“They crossed the road into the Wealdstone station car park, and next thing I hear screaming and shouting.
“I saw a man of a similar age, complexion, and build in a blue jacket running for his life with blood on his face and neck, like he was chopped or slashed. The man was running after him covered in blood on his chest and the injured man was shouting for people to call the police.
“They ran into the civic centre car park and within five minutes I saw a number of police officers on foot, then a large police van racing over the bridge and coming in from the crown court side.
“A number of people were filming including one black lady who ran away when the axe wielding man ran towards her.”
