A new full size 3G pitch will be open to the local community at Bannister Sports Centre on Monday 3 May.
Bannister Sports Centre, managed by sports and leisure operator Everyone Active in partnership with Harrow Council, has benefited from several refurbishments including installing a full size floodlit 3G pitch which has been funded by Harrow Council as well as a grant of £380,000 from the Premier League and the FA Facilities Fund.
As part of the development, Harrow Council has also invested £25,000 into the changing facilities at the centre.
The old changing rooms have also been transformed in order to provide a better experience for customers.
Tiling has been replaced throughout the whole of the changing facilities and there is new flooring and lighting installed, alongside a complete redecoration of the walls and the ceiling.
These well-needed improvements have been completed alongside the installation of the new 3G artificial grass pitch, meaning customers can look forward to being able to use both the improved facilities from Monday 3 May.
John Sewell, Contract Manager at Everyone Active, said: “We’re really happy to be opening the centre’s new 3G pitch on Monday.
“It’s an exciting time for the centre, with customers being able to take advantage of both the 3G pitch and the new changing room facilities.
“Bannister Sports Centre remains an integral part of the community and we’re sure that our members will benefit greatly from this well-needed investment.”
