Bentley Priory Museum in Stanmore are looking for volunteers to join their team

Bentley Priory Museum in Stanmore is now recruiting new members to join their committed and passionate volunteer team they have announced.

The Museum, which tells the story of RAF Bentley Priory, HQ Fighter Command during the Battle of Britain, offers a variety of exciting roles to get involved in.

Operations Manager, Christina Avramakis, says: “Volunteers are the backbone of Bentley Priory Museum; the incredible dedication and enthusiasm of our wonderful volunteer team bring the exciting history of Bentley Priory and the Battle of Britain to life and ensure that our visitors have the best experience possible.”

Opportunities to get involved include facilitating craft activities for families, serving refreshments, light lunches and afternoon teas in the Museum’s vintage café, supporting visitors in the Museum galleries and Reception, and caring for the plants and flowers in the Museum’s stunning Italian Gardens.

Linda volunteers on Reception, as a gallery Steward and also lends a hand in the Museum café. She says, “It’s a privilege to work here knowing the history, it is a lovely atmosphere.”
