Police arrest ‘wanted male’ in Hatch End coffee shop

Armed police stormed a coffee shop in Hatch End yesterday (25 August) and arrested a man on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.

Members of the public contacted Harrow Online saying that armed police had been spotted on Uxbridge Road, Hatch End at around 9:00am.

A police helicopter was also spotted circling the area at around the same time.

Met Police said: “At 08:30hrs on Wednesday, 25 August, police were called to a report of a wanted male inside a café on Uxbridge Road, Harrow.

“Officers attended and the man was detained. Following a search, a knife was found and he was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon. He was taken into custody where he remains.”
