A Police officer was taken to hospital after being assaulted in Kingsbury Tube Station today (29 September).
The Officer was bitten, kicked in the chest and spat at in the incident before being taken to hospital as a priority.
The assault happened shortly before 4:00pm this afternoon. During the incident a Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) was also spat at.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 4.09pm today (29 September) to reports of a person unwell at Kingsbury Station.
“We sent an ambulance crew, who treated a man at the scene and took him to a hospital as a priority.”
Met Police told Harrow Online: “At around 15:45hrs on Wednesday, 29 September, officers on patrol in Kingsbury attempted to speak to a suspected fare evader near Kingsbury tube station.
“The man was detained following a struggle in which one officer was bitten, kicked in the chest and spat at in his face.
“A PCSO was also kicked in the chest and spat in the initial incident.
“LAS attended after the officer was taken unwell. He went to hospital, where he is recovering.
“The PCSO also attended hospital as a precaution.
“The man detained was arrested on suspicion of assault of an emergency worker and remains in custody.”
