Four fire engines rush to Pinner to tackle barn blaze

London Fire Brigade rushed to Pinner last night after a barn was on fire in Woodhall Road.

The fire was reported shortly after 6:30pm and took over four hours to get under control.

London Fire Brigade said: “Firefighters tackled a blaze at a barn on Woodhall Road in Pinner on Sunday evening.

“An open-sided detached barn containing 200 tonnes of hay was destroyed by the fire. There were no reports of any injuries.

“The Brigade’s 999 Control Officers took 12 calls to the fire.

“The Brigade was called at 1837 and the fire was under control by 2259. Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters from Harrow, Croydon, Ruislip and Stanmore fire stations were at the scene.

“The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
