Cllr Graham Henson, leader of Harrow Council, has posted a message on Facebook following a rapid increase in covid infection rates in some age groups in the borough.
The number of positive cases per day has jumped from 82 people per day to 130 people within the last 14 days.
Cllr Graham Henson posted: “Very concerned to see that the infection rates in Harrow are increasing rapidly with some age groups increasing by 60% in past 7 days.
👉🏻 In the past 2 weeks the number of new cases has jumped from 82 people a day testing positive to around 130 people per day.
👉🏻 Between 11th October and 17th October – 61 residents admitted to hospital with Covid
👉🏻 9 residents in hospital on ventilators
👉🏻 Almost 70% of Harrow residents have had first vaccination
