Police in Rayners Lane have arrested multiple suspects in an organised crime group operating within the area.
Over ten people were arrested in connection with pick pocketing offences, fraud and the handling of stolen goods within Rayners Lane.
Since the arrests have been made, four people have been charged and are due to appear in court today (8 November).
Rayners Lane Police tweeted: “@MPSRaynersLane & @MPSRoxbourne & @MPSRoxeth officers have been collating Intel on an organised crime group responsible for committing multiple pickpocketing offences across Rayners Lane.
The victims bank cards were used to to make contactless purchases in several locations,
“Along with cash withdrawals at ATM machines. For us the 05th of November started with a bang as we stopped a vehicle with one suspects inside, this resulted in a search of his address where a further 10 suspects were arrested for Fraud and Handling stolen goods offences.
“Lots of stolen items also recovered
It’s been all go since then and finally we have 4 people charged with multiple offences, they all remain in police custody and will be brought before the courts 08th November.
