Police warn public about ‘huge increase’ in mobile phone thefts in Harrow

Police have advised members of the public to be ‘extremely vigilant’ after a ‘huge increase’ in mobile phone snatches in Harrow.

The thefts are believed to have been made by suspects riding push bikes in and around Harrow and Wembley.

Preston Police tweeted: “Please be extremely VIGILANT when you are using your mobile phone when you are out and about in Harrow\Wembley area.There have a huge increase of mobile phone snatches from as early as 6am from suspects riding on pushbikes!Please share this post”

They added: “As per previous tweet ,on Saturday 20th Nov between 6am and 7am we had 2 mobile phone snatches on Grasmere Ave and Brook Ave. In at least on of these a Male on a pedal cycle was the culprit and appears to be connected to the huge spike of similar recent snatches in Harrow area!”
