Cat fosterers needed in Harrow

Cats Protection’s Harrow Homing Centre is on the prowl for volunteer cat fosterers to help unwanted and abandoned cats get back on their paws. The charity will provide plenty of assistance and support materials.

Caroline Shilton, Volunteer Team Leader at Harrow Homing Centre said: “Fostering is a really flexible way you can enjoy caring for a cat in your own home without the commitment of cat ownership. Many of our fosterers have busy lives, with some being away from home regularly so short-term fostering works really well for them because it gives them the joy of having a cat around with no strings attached.”

We provide everything you need and cover the costs of veterinary treatments.  To foster for us you need to live within 40 minutes travel of our centre in Harrow and, of course, a love of cats is a must.”

“Offering a temporary home to a cat in need can be an incredibly rewarding experience, and becoming a volunteer for Cats Protection is a great way to meet new friends – both human and feline!”

The centre is currently running a Hands-Free Homing scheme so cats can still be adopted within Covid-19 restrictions. Since launching Hands-Free Homing, Cats Protection has rehomed 5,000 cats across the UK.

As well as finding new homes for unwanted and abandoned cats, the charity also offers cat care advice to the public and can help towards the cost of neutering.
