Child taken to hospital after road traffic collision

A child has been taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Kingsbury Road.

The child was taken to hospital in the morning around the school run time shortly before 9:00am.

Concerned members of the public posted about the incident on social media wondering what had happened.

Images show a police cordon in place at the time of the incident around Kingsbury Road as emergency services arrived at the scene.

A London Ambulance spokesperson confirmed: “We were called at 8.46am today (December 9) to reports of a road traffic collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on a scooter on Kingsbury Road, NW9.

“We sent an ambulance crew, who treated a child at the scene and took them to a hospital.”

Met Police said: “Police were called at 8.49am on Thursday, December 9, to reports of a road traffic collision in Kingsbury Road, NW9.

“Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a car in collision with a child.

“The child was taken to a north London hospital where his injuries were deemed as not life-threatening or changing.

“No arrests have been made.”
