Tesco Express in Harrow ram-raided, thieves steal cash register

Tesco Express in Harrow has been targeted by thieves as they drove a vehicle into the building and made off with the cash register.

The incident happened in the early hours of yesterday morning, forcing the shop to close for the entire day yesterday (15 Jan) and re-open again today (16 Jan).

One member of Harrow Online said:“Morning, I live a few doors up from Tesco West Harrow. I don’t have any footage or images, but I did drive past yesterday and 2 front window panes were smashed in. It’s now boarded up and back open.

“Spoke to the Manager just now.
It was a ram raid with a van at 5:20am yesterday morning. 2 guys just targeting the tills, got away with 2 or 3 tills.

“They don’t keep much money so it wasn’t much they got away with, he thinks maybe £200.

“Happening to a few local stores, not just Tesco (he said) but the same thing happened to their Ruislip branch few days ago.”
