Northwick Park Hospital closes to general visitors due to rising covid-19 cases

Northwick Park Hospital is closed to general visitors due to rising covid-19 cases they have confirmed.

Speaking with Harrow Online, A London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust spokesperson said: “In line with other hospitals in north west London, London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust (LNWH) closed their hospitals to general visitors on New Year’s Eve due to rising Covid-19 cases.”

The Trust posted via Facebook: “Due to rising Covid cases, we’ve restricted visiting to keep #TeamLNWH staff and our patients safe.

“This is to help us care for the people who really need us. Visit lnwh.nhs.uk/visiting for exceptions.”

Today (19 Jan), the trust added that they have made some “temporary changes” to maternity services to reduce the spread of infection and keep mums, babies and their staff safe.

They added: “You can bring someone with you to your appointments and scans, but during busy periods we may ask them to wait outside.”
