A member of public has reported that a small motorbike/scooter entered Harrow Recreation Ground last weekend (22 Jan) trying to snatch phones via the passenger.
The motorbike is said to have ‘rode recklessly on the pavement and greenery within Harrow Rec Ground’.
The passenger of the bike is alleged to have tried to snatch phones from members of the public in the park.
Posting via the OWL website, Headstone SNT reassured residents saying: “I and my team want to assure you we will continue our patrols in Harrow Recreation Ground to tackle this problem. In addition to this, please be aware of your surroundings while walking in the park and using your phone.”
PC Moran from Headstone South SNT said: “We are aware of complaints regarding a scooter seen in Harrow Recreation Ground over the last few days and of recent thefts that may be linked to the same scooter. We will be addressing this issue using appropriate Metropolitan Police resources, and if anyone has any information please call 101 quoting reference cad 5196/25 January
