Man robbed of mobile phone at knifepoint in Harrow

A man has reported a knifepoint robbery near Morrisons in Harrow on Monday evening (Jan 24).

The incident happened near the seating area at the junction of Pinner Road and Roxborough Road.

The victim of the incident told Harrow Online: “I was victim of a phone snatching incident on 24th Jan at 7:20pm in front of the Morrisons Gate. 2 scooter riders approached me from behind, touched a knife and snatched my phone and speeded off the Roxborough Road. The entire incident took 60 secs.”

He added: “The entire incident took place within 1 min. They were very Pro in that. When I came home and tracked my phone back it said 7:19, just within 5 mins they through the sim away.

“If this is a common pattern followed by them, as I can see near the Harrow Recreational Park area, then why can’t this be deeply investigated?. I am sure there will be a number of clues the Police will get from it.”

Met Police said: “Police were called at around 21:30hrs on Monday, 24 January to a report of a robbery on Pinner Road, at the junction with Roxborough Road, Harrow.

“A man, aged in his 30s, told police that he had been approached by two men on a moped. One of the men threatened him with a knife until the victim handed over his mobile phone and they rode off.

“The suspects were dressed all in black and had motorcycle helmets on at the time.
