The highly anticipated launch of Harrow’s new indoor mini golf centre, Puttstars, is finally here, as the opening of this entertainment complex teed off yesterday.
The brand new centre, which is host to not one, but THREE nine-hole courses, opened its doors at St. George’s Shopping Centre and one lucky family from Harrow got the chance to test drive the venue before it opened to the public, after winning a ‘putterly’ fabulous mini golf tester competition.
Naomi Carr-Jackson, 33, her sister Reianne Carr- Jackson and her neighbour Preema Patel, were the very first to putt their way to victory on the Slingshot, ZigZag and Pinball courses, as part of a money can’t buy VIP tour of the state-of-the-art centre.
Speaking about the experience, Naomi said: “I was absolutely over the moon when I found out I won the competition to be the first to tee-off at the new centre. I love mini golf and friendly competition, so my family and I had such a blast being the first to try out the centre. My favourite course was Slingshot, it was so challenging! We loved every minute and will definitely be back!”
The brand new £2.4 million entertainment complex, Puttstars, offers indoor mini golf with a tee-rific twist thanks to interactive technology that bids goodbye to handheld paper scoring. The three fun filled nine-hole courses each challenge and delight putters in new ways, including the addition of jokers and ‘boosters’ to increase your scores and ensure golfers of all ages and abilities have an unforgettable experience. You can even see your name on their leader boards.
Nathan Barwick, Centre Manager at Puttstars Harrow, said: “We’re thrilled to be opening our doors to the people of Harrow at a time when more people want to socialise together and create memories again.
“The team are super excited to welcome friends and family to tee-off at the centre and enjoy our unique entertainment offering. Naomi and her family really are experts when it comes to playing mini golf, and we know that guests will enjoy it as much as she did.”
As well as mini golf, Puttstars also has a ‘hole’ lot more to offer, with a stylish bar and diner serving up delicious food and drink options, including tasty pizzas, sizzling hotdogs and thick, creamy shakes. The total leisure experience is complete with a renowned amusement area filled with family favourite games leading arcade machines to keep the competition going once the putting is done. It’s also the perfect place for kids’ parties, corporate parties, date nights and celebrations galore!
