Footage shows burst pipe in Harrow Weald as road closure causes delays

Brookshill is still currently closed off due to a burst pipe outside Harrow College.

Brookshill is closed off today (6 Feb) due to the flooding caused by the burst pipe at the Uxbridge Road end.

Yesterday (5 Feb), Affinity Water alerted residents to the burst water main and apologised for any households who were temporarily without water.

Footage posted in the Harrow Online Group shows flooding just outside Harrow College this afternoon.

The last update posted on the Affinity Water website at 18:55 yesterday, says:

“We’re really sorry for the problems with your water today.  Our repair team have now completed the repairs to the damaged section of pipework. Before we can put the water main back into service, we need to carry out tests on samples of the water to ensure it meets our strict water quality standards.

“Whilst this is ongoing, customers will continue to have water directed across the network to maintain their water supply. However, this may be at a lower pressure whilst this is in place.

“We’re sorry for the inconvenience caused and aim to get your water flowing back to normal as soon as possible.”

Buses are diverted from High Road at Common Road and this is affecting the 258 bus route.
