Man dies after collision in Greenford, police appeal for witnesses

A man aged in his 60s has tragically died after a collision in Greenford this morning (15 Feb). 

Police are appealing for anyone who may have information or dash-cam footage to come forward.

Met Police posted via their website: “Police were called at approximately 05:35hrs on Tuesday, 15 February to reports of a car in collision with a pedestrian in Greenford Road at the junction with Army Road, Greenford.

“Sadly, a male pedestrian, aged in his early 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

“Enquiries are underway to inform the man’s next of kin.

“The car did not stop at the scene but was subsequently located nearby.

“Four men were arrested for offences including causing death by dangerous driving and drink drive.

“Road closures remain in place.

“Detectives from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit investigate.”

Any witnesses or anyone with any information, particularly dash cam footage, is asked to call police on 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 2459/15FEB.
