The Friends of Harrow Weald Recreation Ground are holding an Easter Egg Hunt for young children, which will take place in the park from noon on Easter Sunday, 17th April.
The hunt will be a fun, free for children under 10 years old event, and there’s a sweet treat waiting for all children taking part in hunting for the clues scattered around the park.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
The ParkLife Café, in association with Harrow Art Society, will be opening the first of a series of bi-monthly art exhibitions starting at 7.00pm on Monday 25th April.
Harrow residents are invited along to browse and enjoy the varied artwork on show. If you would like to purchase any of the art on display, just visit the café (which islocated in Harrow Weald Recreation Ground, opposite Lidl) from 26th April, during the usual opening hours of 9.30am to 5.30pm,Tuesday to Sunday.
Whether you wish to buy, or just to look, a return visit is recommended, as you will always be welcome at ParkLife Café, which has great views of the park from the outside terrace, a cosy and comfortable interior, and enjoyable food and drinks.
Live music is always very popular and The Friends of Harrow Weald Recreation Ground have great pleasure in welcoming back the excellent DNR, who will be performing on the stage at the rear of the ParkLife Café from 7pm on Friday 13th May.
Weather permitting, another of our popular Stargazing events, hosted by Dr David Arditti and Paul Skidmore, will take place in the park on Friday 20th May from 9.00pm. Please check the website www.harrowweald.co.uk for updates.
This year Saturday 4th June is going to be a very special day for everyone in the community. Not only will The Friends of Harrow Weald Recreation Ground be hosting the second Harrow Weald Festival, but, along with the nation, we will be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Lots of activities will be taking place from noon until 6pm, including fun events for children and adults alike. The ParkLife Café will be offering food, drink and music through the evening. Full information to come!
Can you donate items to help the displaced people from the Ukraine? Knowing that many people want to help these traumatised people, the ParkLife Café has now become a local centre where you can donate useful new items which will be transported to be given to the people who are greatly in need.
