Man arrested in Harrow Town Centre after being spotted ‘acting suspiciously’

Police rushed to Harrow Town Centre in the early hours of this morning (20 April) after a man was spotted ‘acting suspiciously.’

Footage sent in by a member of Harrow Online shows multiple police vehicles outside Barclays at the junction of Station Road and College Road in Harrow Town Centre.

A Met Police spokesperson told Harrow Online: “At 00:26hrs on Wednesday, 20 April police were called to Greenhill Road, Harrow after a man was spotted acting suspiciously.

“A short time later, a 56-year-old man matching the description was stopped by officers on the High Street.

“Following a search, the man was arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and going equipped to steal.

“He remains in custody.”
