Photos show the scene in Pinner as Harrow residents share concerns after murder

Photos show the police cordon and forensic tent in Pinner, Harrow after a man was stabbed to death this morning (4 May).

Police have confirmed that a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the stabbing in Pinner.

Met Police said in a statement: “A murder investigation was launched after officers were called at 06:58hrs on Wednesday, 4 May to Grove Avenue to reports of a stabbing.

“A man in his mid-30s was found at the location with stab injuries.

“London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance attended.

“Despite the efforts of paramedics that man was pronounced dead at the scene.Police are working to inform next of kin.

“A crime scene remains in place.

“Following enquiries a man, believed aged in his 30s, was arrested on suspicion of murder – he remains in custody.

“Detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime (Homicide) investigate.”

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 6.56am today (4 May) to reports of a stabbing on Grove Avenue, Pinner.

“We sent an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a fast response vehicle and an incident response officer. We also dispatched London’s Air Ambulance by road.

“We treated one man at the scene. Sadly, despite our medics’ best efforts, the patient died.”

“It is really sad. We didnt hear anything until the helicopter but its so close to home. Although I think it happens everywhere now unfortunately.”

“I grew up in Pinner, it was never like this in the 70s and 80s. So sad.”

”It just makes you worry about the kids and everything when it’s so close to home.”

“So tired of hearing about these stabbings. I hope things improve for the better soon as I have young children and don’t want them to be exposed to this kind of thing. This should not be normal.”
