In a partnership with Met Police, two branches of McDonald’s in Harrow have set up knife arches to try and highlight knife crime.
The arches will be at the Shaftesbury Circle, South Harrow, and Harrow Town Centre McDonald’s for a few hours today.
Local franchisee, Kurt Jansen, said: “In London there were over 30 stabbings of young adults in 2021. As a community we want to highlight the the desperate need for us to pull together to tackle this.
“Life is sacred, many families will have suffered a tremendous loss. We appreciate for many of our customers this may have added a small inconvenience to their breakfast, however when small communities pull together the message becomes so much louder.”
