There is currently a large fire at Potters Bar High Street as a number is busses have gone up in flames at the bus garage.
Herts Fire and rescue tweeted: “We are currently in attendance at this large fire. This is likely to be burning for a long time.
They added: “Please avoid the area if you can, and keep doors and windows closed if you live in the area.”

One person tweeted: “Big fire at #pottersbar bus garage. Several hybrid buses have caught fire, say local bus drivers, and they may have difficulty moving others near by for some time. Could hit local bus services.”
Another person said: “Explosions can be heard and flames are intense at the #PottersBar bus garage.”
Fire services have advised anyone who lives nearby to keep their doors and windows closed.
Another person tweeted: “Significant #fire in #pottersbar can hear booms of what I presume are exploding canisters and the smell of rubber. Lots of sirens heard and a helicopter overhead.”
Update: 16:00: The fire appears to be under control, a great job by emergency services at the scene.
